The case is solid old-growth black walnut, finished to match the desk exactly. Locking file drawers accommodate letter or legal hanging files. Soft-close hardware throughout. Solid bronze pulls and brushed brass keyed locks are hand-finished and develop their own patina with use. The interior is fitted in matching walnut — no plywood reveal, no laminate liner.
